Broomfield and Kingswood Parish Council

Broomfield and Kingswood Parish Council provide and are responsible for the following services in our parish;

  • Sports Field and play area - the Sports Field is home to facilities for our parish to include play equipment, goal posts, picnic benches, benches and memorial benches and a Scout Hut.
    Leeds and Kingswood Scout Group leases the Scout Hut from the Parish Council and can be contacted regarding membership.
    Headcorn FC hire the Sports Field weekly for youth football and can be contacted regarding membership.
    The Sports Field is inspected weekly but should you see any issues please contact the Parish Clerk. 
     
  • Broomfield Green - this is located outside St Margarets Church on Broomfield Road and is a small piece of land which has a bench, village sign and noticeboard. 
     
  • Defibrillators - the Parish Council is responsible for two defibrillators in the parish, one is located outside the NISA shop on Charlesford Avenue and a second is located on the Scout Hut at The Sports Field. These are checked weekly. 
    A third defibrillator is owned and maintained by The Village Hall Committee and is located on the side of the hall. 

    In an emergency please follow the instructions on the cabinet door by phoning 999 who will ask for the location and give the code to open the cabinet.  An ambulance will be sent at the same time. Access will be available 24/7.

  • Salt bins - the Pairsh Council owns and maintains five salt bins in the parish. These were located as per requests from residents and are yellow with a black lid. KCC owns and maintain the all yellow salt bins.
    The Parish Council salt bins are located outside the NISA shop on Charlesford Avenue, on the corner of Park Barn Road and Broomfield Road, outside St Margarets Church on Broomfield Road, on the corner of Ashford Drive and Broomfield Road and on the corner of Cayser Drive and Gravelly Bottom Road. 
     
  • Silent Tommy Statue - the Silent Tommy Statue located on the corner of Gravelly Bottom Road and Broomfield Road was erected by the Parish Council to remember all those that fought and lost their lives for our Country. 
     
  • Noticeboards - there are five noticeboards located around the Parish and these are updated regularly with minutes and other useful information. The noticeboards are located outside NISA on Charlesford Avenue, outside the row of shop on Cayser Drive, on Broomfield Green, Broomfield Road, at The Sports Field and outside the Village Hall. 
     
  • Planters - six planters have been placed around the village and are maintained by Broomfield and Kingswood Parish Council. 
     
  • Land in Tall Trees Close - the Parish Council owns a piece of land in Tall Trees Close which used to be an old play area. The land is now leased to residents.
