GDPR
GDPR (The General Data Protection Regulations) came into effect on 25th May 2018 which brings the law into the digital age. It is the biggest change to data protection in many years and gives back control to individuals of their own information.
Any organisation that process personal information, including Parish Councils, has a legal obligation to treat that information fairly and transparently. They must be able to account for what they do, how and why they do it.
Broomfield and Kingswood Parish Council has employed a Data Protection Officer (Satawana) who has advised the Parish Council on the GDPR and policies relevant to the new Regulations.
Broomfield and Kingswood Parish Council's GDPR policy can be viewed below.
If the Parish Council holds any personal data that you no longer wish to be held please let your Clerk know.
